It is just two weeks away, and now is going to be the time when you should be trying to work out just which of the runners in the Pegasus World Cup race is going to win, and now is also the very best time to place a bet on that race too.
I say that for having spent the morning checking out the odds available on that race on the ante post betting markets being offered by Ladbrokes, they do have a fair set of odds on all horses and appear to be working that book to a respectable over-round too.
The race itself is being stages as it always is at the Gulfstream Park racecourse and as such due to the time zone differences between that part of the world and the UK the race will be broadcast live in the UK on the 26th of January, which is a Saturday at 22:35.
The choice is your as to whether you do want to back any of the runners in the Pegasus World Cup, but before you make up your mind below I will give you an insight into the ante post odds on each of them and also be aware Ladbrokes do go one fifth the win odds to three places on their each-way betting terms on this race.
First and Second Favourites
It is often the case that most punters will back the first or second favourites in any major U.S races and if that is something that you are very eager to do then the favourite to win currently is Accelerate and the odd you can get on it winning are 6/4 over at Ladbrokes.
As for which horse the odds compilers at that betting site think is the one that Accelerate and its jockey has the most to fear from, well that horse is the second favourite City of Light who is available at some tempting odds it does have to be said and those odds are 7/2
Outsiders to Win the Pegasus World Cup
Patternrecognition and Gunnevera are all chalked up at odds of 9/1 and there are a couple of other horses that are being backed each-way right now and they are Audible who has been backed down to odds of 11/1 and also Bravazo who is currently trading at or around the 12/1 mark.
Moving onto the lesser fancied horses that are going to have to massively increase and improve on their current form if they are to win this race or even get placed in it, you will find Seeking the Soul is on offer at odds of 20/1 and True Timber as a 25/1 shot.
Tom’s D’Etat is next in the betting and you can secure odds of 33/1 on it winning and if you want to take a big risk but be rewarded with some huge odds then consider backing either Kukulkan or Something Awesome who are both 50/1 shots.
