The heats for one of the major greyhound events of the year are well underway, and if you are planning on betting on any of the greyhounds taking part in the George Ing St Leger this year then there is still enough time to do so.
One quarter of the win odds are being paid out to three places by most bookies as part of their each-way betting terms, and looking at the list of runners in this event it will probably be advisable to place an each-way bet on the greyhounds that you fancy, rather than an outright winner bet.
Having said that though, I will now run through each of the greyhounds that have been attracting support from punters on the ante post betting markets for the George Ing St Leger this year, as you may fancy backing any of hem and if you do so then the odds you will see below are those available form BetFred, but be aware that they are subject to change at any time of course.
Roxholme Poppy is the current favourite to win the George Ing St Leger this year, and there is a chance it may just do so, however confidence on that greyhound isn't as high as it could be for even though it is the favourite to win this race its odds of 4/1 do indicate it isn't a red-hot favourite!
Two Joint Second Favourites
The odds jump slightly in value on the next couple of greyhounds in the betting, and there are two joint second favourites currently at they are both on offer at odds of 6/1,
As for just which greyhound they are, well if you are a fan of the sport it probably won't surprise you too much to learn they are Brigadier Bullet and Roxholme Butt, who do have a mighty fine chance of winning the George Ing St Leger this year if everything does go their way.
Other Greyhounds Attracting Some Early Support
Antigua Fire has been attracting some, but not a lot of support and as such that greyhound is one that you can currently back at odds of 7/1, in fact there are some other greyhounds being touted at 7/1 too and they are Slippy Maggie and Ridgedale Max.
The odds then get into double figures on greyhounds such as Aayamza Breeze and Stardom who are both easy to back right now at 10/1 and if you have had your eye on greyhounds such as Affleck Bolt and Sheldan then if you are quick you should still be able to secure odds of 12/1 on either of them.
Seaglass Celine, Headford Maurice and Swift Tarquin are 33/1 and then you have the likes of Penny's Luna at 50/1, Rahyvira Flash at 66/1 and the rest of the runners are available at odds of at least 100/1, just keep in mind though that as soon as the next set of heats are run the number of greyhounds left in the George Ing St Leger will be reduced and therefore the odds attached to those still in this event will start to move.
