It is of course during the warmer summer months that you will always find the major cricket tournaments and events scheduled to be played, and one major one that you may just fancy having a bet on is the Cricket World Cup.
Keep in mind in competition such as that one, the earlier you are able to place a bet on he team you fancy to win the better, as the odds will of course start to drop as each match is played off, and as such today I will be giving you an update on the betting on that tournament.
It is England that most punters do fancy the chances of success in this year's Cricket World Cup, and if you do fancy backing them, and plenty of punters have already done so, you should still be able to secure outright win odds of around the 7/4 mark.
There is another team that has just a much chance as England does of doing well in this cricket tournament, and that team is of course India, and I would not put you off backing them if you do fancy their chances and as for just what odd you can bag on them right now, they are the 5/2 second favourite to win.
Consider Backing Australia Each-Way
I think the value bet currently is Australia, for when you consider everything about that team and the way they can play, they do have to have a realistic chance of having success in the Cricket World Cup this year.
They are also a stand out each-way bet, for many bookies such as BetFred are paying out one half the win odds to two places, and that will ensure that if they do finish in the first or seconds pot, and you take their current odds of 7/2, you will still be locking in a winning profit when you are backing them each-way.
The Rest of the Teams
Seven other teams are still involved in the Cricket World Cup and whilst their respective chances of winning are reflected by their current outright winner odds, you may fancy backing some of those seven underdogs.
Two teams that have a fair but not too great chance of winning include New Zealand who are currently chalked up at plenty of sportsbooks at odds of 8/1, and you also have the likes of the West Indies who are available at what I would call fair win odds those being 9/1.
The teams that not many punters have pinned their winning hopes on include Pakistan whose odds are well into double digits at 20/1, and then you have teams such as South Africa who are 40/1 and also Bangladesh whose three digit win odds of 100/1 may just attract and tempt a few punters to place a bet on them.
Two of the teams that very few people are baking are Sri Lanka whose odds are huge at 200/1 and the team not expected to do very well in the Cricket World Cup in 2026 is Afghanistan for they are the rank outsiders at huge odds of 500/1.
