It is of course the Sheffield greyhound track that is hosting the British Bred Derby hates and final, and if you fancy backing any of the last twelve greyhounds in that event then you better get your skates on for the final heat will be run soon and then the greyhounds will be whittled down to the last six for the grand final race.
Just so you know, Ladbrokes are offering one quarter of the win odds if you place a bet on any of the runner's each-way on their ante post betting market for that greyhound event and they are also paying out to three places too.
If you are a keep follower of greyhound racing then you are probably trying to work out which of the first and second favourites to win that race are going to do so, for there isn’t much separating them regarding both their form and their current ante post win odds either.
It is however King Turbo that ever so slightly does top the ante post betting markets and Ladbrokes has that greyhound chalked up at odds of 5/4 and King Elvis is the second favourite at odds of 6/4. But it wouldn’t surprise me if those two greyhounds flip-flopped several times regarding favouritism in the coming days.
Huge Odds on Romeo Mandate
If the odds-on those two favourites listed up above are way too small for you to both betting on them, then do consider placing an each-way bet, for if those two greyhounds do run up to their expected best form and fill the first and second spot there is still third place to play for.
As for just which greyhound has an excellent chance of filling third place, well in my opinion that greyhound is Romeo Mandate and you will certainly be getting some generous odds backing it right now either to win or each-way as its outright winner odds are huge at 12/1.
Outsiders to Win the British Bred Derby 2026
I will now quickly take a look at the remainder of the runners that are going to be lining up to take their chances this year in the 2026 running of the British Bred Derby staring with a couple of 14/1 shots those being both Down To The Felt and Lets Be Ready.
Let Me Tell You is on offer at odds of and there are plenty of greyhounds with odds of 25/1 attached to them at the Ladbrokes betting sites and they are Geelo Monty, Carn Brea and Lowgate Rudy too.
The three other greyhounds that are going to be taking their chances in the final heat are Lostrigg Zeus, Sharpys Rocket and Viking Jerry but I seriously doubt they are going to be making it through to the final race, and that is obviously a view that the odds compilers over at the Ladbrokes betting site most certainly share, for they have all three of those greyhounds on offer at massive off of 66/1 to win the final race!
